The first tip we have is to know what you're applying for. 


Before sending out resumes, do your homework. Research the company that has job vacancies listed.


Firstly, you don't want to apply for something that doesn't interest you or align with your goals. Second, If they do contact you, you'll have the advantage of knowing your potential future employer and what they offer.

If there's one thing employers dislike more than long winded erroneous applications, it is applicants that DO NOT meet the minimum requirements. All postings of possible job offerings will be accompanied with the appropriate minimum requirements in terms of licenses and flight experience. Make sure you meet these minima, or at the very least are within close proximity.

Things to consider:

  • Make sure all your information is relevant and up to date. Keeping an accurate logbook will help in adding totals into the 'Flight Experience' section
  • Focus on aviation. When applying for a flying job, avoid including mundane information on your CV. This is the first thing an employer will look at. Make sure any flying information is easy to read and understand. Grand totals should be BOLD
